Catherine Eschbach Appointed as New OFCCP Director

On March 24, 2025, the U.S. Department of Labor announced the appointment of Catherine Eschbach as the new Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Eschbach succeeds Acting Director Michael Schloss and brings a wealth of legal experience to her new role.

Prior to her appointment, Eschbach was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where she focused on complex constitutional, statutory, and administrative law issues. Her practice included significant litigation affecting federal agencies, including the OFCCP. Earlier in her career, she served as a judicial law clerk for Chief Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

In her new position, Eschbach will oversee the OFCCP’s transition to its revised mission scope under the current administration. She has expressed her commitment to implementing President Trump’s executive orders, aiming to restore a merit-based system that ensures equal opportunity for all workers.

Kairos staff look forward to working with Director Eschbach and will continue to monitor updates from OFCCP as they unfold.
